Renowned for its lively flavours and striking presentation, Vancouver's award-winning contemporary Peruvian restaurant SUYO is taking things one step further with a string of cool chef collab dinner events this year.

The recently-announced dinner series SUYO con Amigos will launch on March 14, 2024, with chef Jason Hemi from Bar Haifa cooking alongside SUYO chef/co-owner Ricardo Valverde.

Bar Haifa, a buzzworthy Vancouver eatery that opened this past November, is known well for its unique Israeli-Palestinian fusion. Further "fusion" is coming by way of a delicious-sounded coursed menu for SUYO con Amigos attendees with dishes like SUYO's scallop tiradito alongside Bar Haifa's shawarma braised lamb shoulder.

"These collaborations are not just about culinary talent; they're about friendship and a shared passion for the craft," says chef Ricardo Valverde.

Chef Ivy Yang of Elisa will cook alongside Valverde on June 13, followed by chef Warren Chow (Wildlight Kitchen + Bar) on September 12. Chef Masayoshi Baba of Masayoshi will wrap up the SUYO con Amigos on November 18.

Each collaboration promises a unique dining experience that's not just about great food but also the celebration of friendship and good times.

SUYO x Bar Haifa takes place on March 14, 2024 with two seatings (5 p.m and 8:30 p.m.). The dinner experience can be booked online and with a price tage of $249 per person for menu and drink pairings (not including tax and gratuity).
