Blueberry Caesar

The addition of fresh cracked black pepper brings a unique savouriness to this Caesar

This may sound unconventional, but go ahead and add some Canadian cheese curds to the garnish of pepper-dusted blueberries, and you’re sure to be pleasantly surprised. If you are unable to find Grand Marnier, there are many other orange-flavoured spirits to choose from, including Cointreau, Triple Sec, and orange Curacao.

In a mixing glass, muddle lemon juice, hot sauce, bitters, pepper and fresh blueberries.

Add the Grand Marnier and Mott’s Clamato, and stir well to mix and spread the flavours around.

In a shallow dish, combine salt, pepper and ground berries. Rim the highball glass with the mixture, and fill glass to the top with ice. Strain the cocktail into the highball glass.

Dust fresh berries with pepper, and skewer with cheese curds as a garnish.
